2012 Bouchaine Pinot Meunier. A light, lean, somewhat tart Pinot (right up my alley!). Definitely some mushroom and earth here already. Sour cherry fruit...none of the candied fruit common to Carneros Pinots. Nice wine!

2012 Mark Tempe Pinot Blanc Alsace. This may be the very best Pinot Blanc I have ever tasted. Plenty of sweet apple-y fruit, minerality, great acidity. Simply delicious!!!!!! Great article on Mr. Tempe over at Wine Terroirs!
