NV L. Aubry Fils Champagne Dualis Brut Sablissime 9899 - France, Champagne (3/1/2015)
Opened on a whim, and oh am I glad I did. First off, my wife liked this even more than I did which is a good sign. We drank out of two different style glasses, a flute for my wife, and a Bordeaux stem for me. The wine showed very differently, depending on which glass, all flowers and citrus from the flute, and much more deep and mineral from the Bordeaux stem. It was fascinating to compare, especially as the wine warmed up and more complexity emerged. The initial aromatics were supplemented by toasty, nutty and salty elements. It was really a joy to drink.
