I ran into this online ... not much in the article will be new to wine geeks, but I enjoyed the illustrations, historic engineering drawings of corkscrews submitted for patent back to the 1700s.

Left off the Durand (combination of worm and ah so), my favorite toy, but thought was good article that succinctly described each variation, and the drawings were cool/
