Tried this new arrival last night:
1. Drew PinotNoir Gatekeeper/AndersonVlly (13.4%; 57% organic Valenti/30% biodynamic Filligreen/13% organic Balo vnyds; 30% whole-cluster) 2013: Med.light color; quite fragrant classic AndersonVlly PN/cherry/very spicy light earthy/dusty very light pencilly/Fr.oak bit floral/violets lovely nose; rather tart quite spicy/cherry/black cherry/AV PN light pencilly/toasty/Fr.oak slight dusty flavor w/ light/gentle tannins; very long tart/tangy/slight citric bright/cherry/black cherry/PN some earthy light pencilly/Fr.oak finish w/ light/tangy tannins; not a profound PN but a very pretty/nice drinking Pinot that should go out another 2-5 yrs; very fairly priced at $32.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is Jason&Molly Drew's basic/blended PinotNoir. They are, of course, darlings of the AFWE and IPoB crowd. Their Albarino is one of the best ones made in Calif. Their Viognier is also terrific, though very limited. But I am most partial to their Syrahs. They are no longer the big/bombastic Syrahs they used to make in SantaBarbara, but a much more elegant/restrained Syrah along the lines of Qupe or EdStJohn. Great folks/good wines. Oh....did I mention I followed them from the very start??
