Deep gold color, nearly amber. I didn't like this on its own but it did match quite well with the dried apricots in a dish of mixed dried fruits. It would be interesting perhaps to try it in a cocktail or spritzer. It was included in a church winetasting fundraiser which centered around different styles of Port wines.
