From CellarTracker: Included in a church winetasting fundraiser and finished the bottle at home over a couple nights. Dark purple and opaque. Leggy on the sides of the glass. Some grape and grapeskin taste and pruney notes. Tastes both more balanced and less sweet than the Cockburn Fine Ruby Port also included in the tasting. Lengthy finish. Perhaps a shame to open such a young bottle, but I wanted to include a vintage Port in a tasting of a variety of Port styles, and this is the only vintage Port I own. I have one more bottle which I will hold for a few years, but at my age I don't plan on decades of cellaring. From one who prefers Tawny Ports to vintage Ports, I did find this attractive and feel the quality was apparent. I won't assign a number rating due to my inexperience with vintage Ports and my preference for Tawny Ports.
