This, the third Gewurztraminer from Alto Adige I have tried recently, the 2008 Cantina Terlano Andrian, obviously associated with Terlano, was maybe the best of the threesome. Medium-deep straw color, the nose and palate were full of spicey pear but the acidity was fantastic, giving the impression of spritzyness but not really. Quite viscous and with 14% abv I will probably enjoy this more again when not coming off of a head cold. I still need to explore more Gewurztraminers from N. Italy. So far they have all been DRY and full-bodied.
