Tried this last night:
1. BabcockVnyds PinotNoir SantaYnezVlly (Selected Barrels Reserve; 12.7%; 197 cs) 1989: Med.color w/ slight bricking; strong toasty/smokey/oak/charred/bit Burgundian light PN/herbal/RCCola/black cherry/forest floor/truffly quite complex nose; slightly tart bit metallic/tangy/dried out strong smokey/toasty/charred/oak some herbal/pungent/rosemary/composty complex flavor w/ light/gentle tannins; long quite smokey/charred/burnt/toasty/Fr.oak/slight Burgundian somewhat herbal/pungent/thyme/musky bit tart/metallic/dried out complex finish w/ light/smooth tannins; pretty much lost its PN fruit but still a very interesting old bones and still offers up pleasure.
