Tried a bunch of Felsinas courtesy of Philippine Wine Merchants.
Felsina Berardenga Chianti Classico 2011 - A bit of heat on the nose, with a little mint and ripe cherry and strawberry fruit. A bit of a sweaty note and later a lactic note there as well. Bright acidity, more strawberry and cherry on the palate. Tart, dry finish. Good length. Very good.
Felsina Berardnega Chianti Classico Riserva 2009 - Candy-like nose reminds me of sour candy or wine gums. Dry and savory. Sweaty saddle and leather. Sweet spice, blackcurrant and blackberry. Decanted for an hour or so but still some tannins on the finish although it is quite smooth. Very good.
Felsina Berardenga Rancia Chianti Classico Riserva 2009 - Plum and blak cherry. Soft and sweet with very fine, powdery tannins. Balsamic note and slightly cheesy. Dried herbs and leather. Very complex. Spent a long time in new oak but it doesn't show at all. Very long. Fine, polished wine. My favorite in this lineup.
Felsina Berardenga Maestro Raro Cabernet Sauvignon IGT 2011 - Some heat on the nose. Very ripe fruit. Lean but meaty with tobacco and chocolate. Very well made but not too interesting.
Felsina Berardenga Fontalloro Toscana 2009 - Very floral, blueberry and fragrant wood. Pencil shavings and rubber. Fruit syrup. Despite decanting, tight and tannic. Possibly deserves a better score but really needs time to open up. At this stage, decant for 2 hours or better yet, leave it alone for a few more years.

Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
