Tried this last night w/ dinner:
1.JCCllrs Haley Syrah RockpileVnyd/Rockpile (15.5%) Oakland 2007: Very dark/black color w/ no bricking; intense blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry/ripe bit mineral/graphite/granitic some toasty/charred/Fr.oak nose; soft intense blackberry/Syrah/huge/boysenberry bit graphite/earthy/mineral some toasty/charred/oak flavor w/ ample/smooth/ripe tannins; very long ripe/blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry/huge fruit rather toasty/charred/smokey/oaksome mineral/stong/granitic finish w/ ample/lush/ripe tannins; will go out another 10 yrs; still very young & primary and not much evolution evident; carries the alcohol well and no heat or fuminess; ripe but not over-the-top; classic structure that comes from Rockpile.
