SAVE THE DATE! MOCOOL15 is AUG. 15! (Easy to remember)

We are still taking theme suggestions with plans to announce by the end of February. What great theme idea have you been kicking around?

How about-------- A Plethora of Pinot to include Pinot Blanc, Noir, Gris, Meunier, Auxerrois and any other "Pinot" I may have missed. I know we had Pinot Envy not to many years ago, (which I unfortunately missed). We could get in some Champagne, Alsace whites (maybe a red there too) plus many new world examples of all but maybe the Auxerrois. Just a first thought. I have another idea that I'll do more thought/research on first.

Not sure if I already sent this to you. I was thinking of "Tying it on with Beaux" with a double entendre. It could include any Beaujolais, Beaulieu Vineyards, Beaune wines, wines from Beaujeu in the Rhone or Beaucastel, a wine from a vineyard owner or winemaker with a name such as Beaumont, etc. It could even be extended to "ribbons" with wines from Ribbon Ridge in Oregon.

However, I would be happy with the Pinot theme also since Pinot Noir is my favorite red grape variety.

Another idea I have had is "Northern Exposure" with allowing wines from north of a particular latitude such as 45 degrees North which would include France just above Bordeaux such as Burgundy and most of the Loire and all of Germany and northern Italy, the area around McMinnville, OR and all of Washington State. (And I can just see that inebriated moose on our tee shirts!)

J.C. you must have read my mind. I was thinking something like Latitude with (45) Attitude but had not decided on the # of the latitude. I would be happy with that one also.
