*) , I noticed an actual winery tasting room on Ark Row in Downtown Tiburon. This was a bit of a find....these Pinots, from Marin County (Petaluma Gap), Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast, and Santa Rita Hills) were definitely on the lighter, less alcoholic red fruited side of things. I like higher acid, "tart" wines, so these were right up my alley! The Santa Rita Hills Pinot was a little darker and had more earthy, roasted fruit, but even here the winemaking style came out.Tiny winery (2,000 cases totally) per year, but if you are ever visiting Tiburon as a tourist...check them out!
* What a lousy January. Nasty fog and no rain. Although December was almost record wet, it looks like we are heading for year four of our epic drought.
