In looking thru my collection of German wine labels (they are so pretty I just couldn't throw them away) I came across two different labels from the very same wine, also one of my all-time favorites. They are the 1976 Schloss Johannisberg Auslese Riesling Rosalack in bright pink and the same wine in gold and black with a picture of Furst von Metternich. They have the same A P Nr.
26026 004 77. Any ideas why this great producer would use two different labels for the same wine?

Probably intended for different distribution at the time.
