WTN: Finger Lakes Riesling

2012 Ravines Dry Riesling. This wine was surely dry but did have some substantial fruit to back it up. Pale straw in color, the nose and palate were of lemon essence and a strong note of minerality (limestone?). Consumed with chicken pot pie but might be better with fried scallops or lobster. Acidity is bracing but not astringent. abv of 12.5%

Bob, you could do a lot worse than Fox Run. They produce good stuff across the board.

The Ravines wines are built to last. 2012 might be too young.
