WTN: 2008 Hexamer, 2012 Enfield

2008 Hexamer Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (1/3/2015)
Ripe, tropical but also brightly acidic. There is also an interesting, if slightly odd, green flavor, as if someone dropped an ounce or two of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc into the bottle. It is not enough to be off putting for this Sauvignon hater, merely adding additional flavor interest.

2012 Enfield Wine Co. Syrah Haynes Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley (1/3/2015)
Rich, primary and pretty much all about the fruit right now. It has additional layers of flavor if you're patient, but for now it's mostly fruit. Nothing over the top or goopy here, just really young.

I don't have much Hexamer experience outside the Quartzit, but on the non-QbAs seem to have varying experiences stylistically. Is there a house "style"?

I thought from title you had switched to CT wines.

I have always found Hexamer's wines to be on the "bright" side regardless of level.

I signed up for Enfield Wine Company because I live in Enfield, CT. Glad I did.
