WTN: PenfoldsGrange '92...(short/boring/oaked)

Barney brought this special btl up to Breckenridge last week & we had a special treat:
1. Penfolds Grange Shiraz SouthAustralia (Bttld: 1993; 13.5%) 1992: Dark color w/ very slight bricking; very strong vanilla/oak/pencilly/smokey very strong blackberry/blueberry/Syrah/bit peppery/earthy quite perfumed complex nose; soft/rich/lush quite vanilla/smokey/oak/pencilly fairly strong blueberry/blackberry/Syrah rather smokey/pungent/spicy/peppery flavor w/ light/velvety tannins; very long/lingering strong vanilla/oak/smokey/pencilly strong blueberry/blackberry/Syrah/peppery/graphite/spicy/pungent finish w/ smooth/gentle/velvety tannins; still showing lots of vanilla/oak but has integrated well into a pretty seamless package; should go another 10 yrs I would guess; this reminds me of why I was once so passionate about Oz wines.
