Dan, shortly after you mentioned finding a bottle in Ann Arbor, I believe it was, I stumbled over this vintage myself and made a purchase. Frankly, I was a bit disappointed. Poured blind to my husband whose astute guesses went Chardonnay/California/Chenin Blanc/Washington in that order (the last WA chenin we had was probably two years ago, a previous L'Ecole and I don't know of anyone who produces it so it's not like this is something we have all the time), we found it smokey with fair residual sugar and overly rounded from perhaps a bit too much malolactic. Completely lacked the vibrance of the 2013 Marc Bredif Vouvray we had a few weeks ago.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
