Some new wines showed up at TJ's last week, so thought I'd give them a try:
1. VinTJS Sangiovese SonomaCnty (14.4%) LiberatedWineCo/GlenEllen 2010: Med.light ruby red color; light cherry/Sangio slight herbal/weedy/dusty light oak pleasant enough nose; quite tart earthy/dusty/cherry/Sangio light oak flavor w/ light/raspy tannins; med.short light cherry/Sangio/dusty/earthy light oak finish w/ some raspy tannins; speaks quietly of Sangio but rather bitey/raspy/rough on the palate; OK w/ pizza, perhaps, but unthrilling.
$9.00 (TJ)

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I couldn't track down any info on LiberatedWineCo..Google let me down. But from the case, I do know it is Calif BW #21412. Somebody smarter than me (which is just about the entire populace) oughta be able to figure that one out.
The DnA Vnyd is none other than DennisPatton...a name I hadn't heard in many a moon. A "legendary" winemaker up in MendoCnty. Neat story on Dennis & Andrea:

2. These three wines are varietally correct, so for those who worship at the altar of varietal typicity, these wines are for you. But I found all three to be pretty low-impact/boring/vapid wines that made me think "Why bother?". Don't waste your taste buds on any of these wines. Life's too short to drink boring wines.
