Some Wineries DO Get It..Tablas Creek

With so many wineries/tasting rooms so clueless about customer service..it's nice when you find a winery that does get it.
I belong to the TablasCreek VINsiders wine club. Every Christmas, they send out a small gift to all the VINsider members. Nothing particularly extravagant...just a little gift w/ a TablasCreek logo on it. This year's gift was a nice pen w/ a polished wooden barrel with "TablasCreek" on it and a nice notebook for wine tasting notes w/ the TablasCreek logo on the front. Last year it was a rustic burlap bag carrying bag w/ TablasCreek stenciled on the side. And always a nice note thanking us for our support over the last year.
It's nice to know that a winery values its customers like that. Plus...their wine's not too shabby, either.
Kudos to Jason & Darren on their thoughtfulness.

Paying you off for tasting notes, eh?

I have received so many freebies from wineries over the years that they have become, at least in my case, practically meaningless. Everything from free corkscrews to t-shirts to coasters to bottle stoppers. I guess I appreciate the gesture, but I do not buy their wine to get yet another free corkscrew or wine tote bag I will never use. If they really wanted to reward my loyalty they could give me a discount on shipping so I could purchase more of their wine.

Discounts on shipping are just rolled into the wine prices.

Navarro is the winery that always has the best "gifts."

Yes, I have taken advantage of their 1 cent shipping in the past and the discount was not rolled into the price of the wine.
