Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, CA. 15.3% alcohol by volume. Vines planted in 1937. 400 cases made. It's an opaque deep purple wine, lightening at the rim. I think this is developing some pleasant secondary characteristics. The flavors suggest blackberries and cassis and maybe espresso. It is full-bodied with a long finish, smooth texture, and conveys to me a true sense of old-vine Zinfandel.
