2010 Elena Walch Gewurztraminer, also from the Alto Adige, consumed today so my memory should be better. Deep brassy golden bright color with lots of viscousity, no rose petal but lots of spicey pear nose and flavors. This went really well with marinated curry chicken breast strips in the broiler. abv of 14%
I am becoming a BIG fan of Northern Italy Gewurztraminer!

Has anyone tried the Lavacchio Oro del Cedro (Tuscany) gew? My local wine shop has it on sale for under 20. My wife wants a gewurz for Christmas, but she's getting tired of flabby Alsatians...and Boxler'$ out of reach. I haven't seen any of the other Italians mentioned in this or the previous thread stocked in any of my wine shops, so I'm hoping this might be a suitable bottle. Any thoughts?
