The back label says this is the best Grenache ever made by Kilikanoon and I can believe it. It's not a dense wine - somewhat like a heay Pinot Noir in color and weight. Chcolate and kirsch on the nose. This is quite lean although it's ripe and juicy sweet which makes it a great wine for sipping. This wine is also a good food wine as it isn't heavy and trying to compete with your meal. This has excellent balance despite the 15% alcohol which didn't really show. Not a lot of complexity but I didn't really care as it was a very easy and enjoyable wine for drinking now. Not sure if this will age well, though. Finishes moderately long. Excellent but expensive at a little over $ 53.00.
