Thank you guys. I don't know I missed this. Yes it was the AWS competition. The wine was about 85% Iona and the rest Chardonnay. I got the idea from a commercial wine maker, the only one I know who makes Iona. He says it often takes a long time to mellow. If you can't wait (that's me) he suggests blending it with something to take the edge off. I've also found that 10% - 15% Chardonnay can do wonders for Muscat Ottonel.
