Burger and Beaujolais night at home. This is from vines planted over a hundred years ago in 1911. Ripe red and black berries on the nose. Hints of smoky meat and earth as well.

A fairly rich Beaujolais. Ripe red and black berries again. Southern Rhonish dried herbs and a little pepperiness. One could be forgiven for thinking this is a very soft and lightish syrah. Juicy. Soft, dry finish and slightly over medium length. This had the stuffing to stand up to a spicy Cajun burger. Very enjoyable.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
