2012 Forlorn Hope Mil Amores

A very interesting wine made, I understand, from forlorn Portugese varietals planted in El Dorado County.

Rather spiky...definitely a wine for acid lovers. We decanted. Even with the acid, there was a volutuous core of ripe fruit....blackberry????...that went very well with beef stew! Another interesting Matthew Rorick wine.

Cool!

I have not been offered any reds other than the Valdiguié so far. Looking forward to trying more.
