WTN: '11 Potel Bourgogne Blanc

by David M. Bueker » Sat Nov 15, 2014 7:42 pm

Long flight to Shanghai yesterday. The wine offerings were predictably bleak even in business, but a glass of the Potel Bourgogne Blanc was very pleasant. There was plenty of fruit and the balance was excellent. I would have preferred less buttery richness on the mid-palate, but for a long flight it was a pleasurable wine.

Nice to have good wine on a long flight.
No Nicolas Potel involvement with "Potel" wines any more, but glad wine was good. Doesn't show up on US WSearcher.

I really hope the Potel is on offer for the flight back. Pretty much the best business class pour I have had in the last 2 years.
