Shared my dinner wine w/ John ystrday:
1. Luigi Nervi DOCG: Gattinara (13.5%; www.NerviCantine.It) 2006: Dark color w/ some bricking; some floral/fragrant/violets/Nebb light smokey/pungent/tarry/licorice rather interesting classic Nebb nose; fairly soft/smooth light floral/violets/Nebb bit earthy/pungent/smokey/light tarry flavor w/ a bit of a tannic bite; med.long soft/gentle/smooth slight floral/violets/lilacs/Nebb light tarry/smokey/pungent finish w/ light tannic bite in aftertaste; a pleasant enough Gattinara, just that, that speaks distinctly of Nebb but seems a bit on the modern side w/o the oak. $32.00 (KK)

A tiny BP:
1. I hadn't seen the Nervi wines around in quite some time, so pounced on this when I found it on the shelf. The Nervi wnry has been owned by Norwegians since 2011.
