2012 Wind Gap Wines Syrah Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (11/9/2014)
Bright, meaty, high acid and showing ripe, berry fruit. This is just barely wine at this point, and needs a ton of time. All the elements appear to be there, but they have not yet come together. I have experienced this same phenomenon with early bottles of the 2010 and 2011 version of this wine, and even 6 months in the cellar made a huge difference. If you are thinking of opening one of these now, don't.

Good notes, David. Big fan of Pax Mahle wines, and their tasting room is literally right at the main entrance to the Sebastopol-Santa Rosa bicycle corridor, so am a frequent visitor!
