Not on mailing lists, but got Envoyer & HDH this week, Rare is in transit, PC ships next week. Some auction wine pending. My cellar is filled, with several boxes out in basement. My overflow cellar at office has overflown to next room. And my offsite bill keeps growing.

That's a problem I wish I had. I can't afford to buy a lot of wine myself.

I justify it to the wife by saying I am stockpiling for when we are "living on a fixed income."*

Tell me about it! I was making a little progress in reducing the number of wine boxes until the fall shipments started arriving in the last two weeks. FedEx brought the LaRue wine shipment (3 bottles of Pinots) Halloween and I wasn't sure if the doorbell was a trick-or-treater or a delivery. I told the deliveryman I wasn't sure if I should come to the door with candy in hand and he said "I'm bringing you some candy!'"

Good thing I have no wine orders in the pipeline. My Liebherr WKt 6451 has just broken down after 5 months use and I have lost 250 bottles' storage capacity :( .

Goodness me Tim, especially after all your searching. Are the bottles OK or did you loose some?

The bottles will slowly move up to room temperature which is about 20°C (68°F), which is not too much of a worry if it doesn't go on too long. What I like less is having to empty the fridge, either to repair or replace it. There will be bottles all over the floor for dogs to knock over  .

We keep a list of wines we are aging by year on the puter. We have four more '14s left which is no problem. Our problem is rotation (non-agers). It is disturbingly low; and we'll have to some serious purchasing soon!

I've had 13 cases delivered and I'm not done yet. Good thing I'm not buying any more wine.

For various reasons, I've been on a buying hiatus for the past 3-4 months, but I've still managed to receive 2 cases of wine with another on the way. Now that I'm off hiatus, who knows what'll happen?

I guess this is a backhand benefit of living in BC and not being able to ship wines from anywhere here. Still, my cellar doesn't have a lot of empty space either....
