2012 Hart Pinot Gris-- muted nose of yellow fruit with medium pink/red color. This wine obviously had lots of skin contact due to the color. The palate was at first bland and slightly lacking acidity but after a few minutes the wine blossomed and pooched pear with good acidity came thru. Probably not a mid-term ager but very enjoyable now. 12% abv. Thanks Howie!

2008 Veuve Doussot "Cuvee Ernestine" Brut--extremely enjoyable with medium- full-bodied slightly spicy pear fruit with great abundant fine bead. This wine probably has a long aging future due to the great balance. My last bottle! Sigh!

Jim - thanks for the feedback. I have the remaining bottles of this in the "Drink up" bin. Due to crazy things going on in my life, I still haven't bottled the 2013 vintage, of which I have 2 versions; regular and late harvest. I'll bring some to MOCOOL next year.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

I just saw another offer on the Ernestine last week, so you're likely to have more opps to restock. It IS good.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
