Looking pretty good! Have any of you found any bugs yet?

The IE formatting and login stuff is hit and miss. The Google ads also crash IE on a regular basis. Of course that's IE, but it's what I am experiencing.

iDevices are fine. Will test out Firefox and my Kindle when I get home later.

John, have you been through the routine of (1) delete all cookies (see forum menu at upper left); (2) log in to the top of the forum (use this link - http://forums.wineloverspage.com/ - , and then (3) create a new bookmark and use it. This SHOULD keep you logged in.

Or log in via Facebook, which will expire after a few hours but eliminates the whole password entry step.

I did all that, Robin, and it still prompted me for a login and then changed the session ID on me. I'll try once more, but am less than hopeful. FF 33.0 on Mac OS 10.6.8 FWIW.

Log in seems to be working at least for now on Chrome.

Hopefully it stays fixed while other "bugs" are being addressed.

Out of curiosity, I don't recall the Hotbytes conversion having unresolved issues/bugs for this long a period of time. You'd think the second conversion would be easier. But, maybe I'm misremembering again.

update: I did it all again and just returned with login info intact. It seems to work for me, now, too.

update#2: Just returned and needed to login again *sigh*

There were some bugs on HotBytes, but they may have been less visible outside the curtain with the little man behind it.

As a technical issue, HotBytes had long since been moved to a server carrying the current edition of SQL, so all we had to do was upgrade the forum softward (PhpBB) and put on a new forum "skin" and add Social Login. On WLDG, for some reason we were still operating on an older SQL. Trying to change all those things at once made the job much more complicated. Then our first shot at the upgraded forum structure wasn't done well, and that corrupted foundation led to a lot of quirky issues. Ultimately, in the past few days, we got three strong guys and a truck to hoist the whole works onto another foundation. The process was very ugly, but once it was done, we hope things are going to smooth out fast.

I did my usual incantations with Firefox. I'll see if that works; if not, I'll do the Whole Nine Yards. :P
