A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. MilesKarakasevic was a guy from Croatia who had a background in distillation. Mostly his focus was on brandies. He started up in Ukiah in MendoCnty. This NV wine dates from the early '80's. It was made like an Angelica/Ratafia/Pinot des Charentes. Chardonnay grape was added early in the fermentation to stop the fermentation. I recall it had some significant oak to it and was a pretty interesting beverage that I thought might have some potential. Alas, age has not been kind to this wine and the potential for greatness was lost along the way. The wnry continues to be operated on SpringMtn w/ the 2'nd generation and is known as CharbayWnry. Not had any of their recent stuff. They no longer make this wine as best I can tell.
