This just hit the State last week, so had to try it:
1. Jaffurs Viognier BienNacidoVnyd/SBC (14.2%) 2013: Med.light gold color; lovely perfumed peach/pear/Viog some chalky/mineral light spicy/nutmeg/herbal/melony quite aromatic nose; rather tart/tangy rich/lush very peachy/pear/Viog/floral/honeysuckle/ripe quite spicy/nutmeg slight mineral/herbal flavor; very long/lingering some tart/tangy ripe/peach/pear/Viog/spicy/nutmeg light mineral/chalky finish; lots of lush/ripe Viog fruit but great structure & balance w/o straying into DollyParton territory; one of the best Jaffurs Viogs I can recall; beautiful wine at a very fair price. $28.00 (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I have, of course, followed Jaffurs from the very start. When LarryArchibald & I sat out on the front porch of BobSenn's LosOlivosWines&SpiritsEmporium, on a cold/foggy/drizzly day and sampled his first Viog, made at the CentralCoastWineCoop in SantaMaria, from Gerber baby food jars. The rest is history.
Some of the Jaffurs Viogs have been on the soft side in the past. This one has a nice brisk acidity to it and reminds me a lot of the Failla AlbanVnyd Viog, my benchmark of Calif Viog.
