This is a wine that I started out with in the mid 80s when I was first learning about wine. Haven't bought much since but on deal at $9 I bought a few bottles a month or so ago. I was pleasantly surprised. Nose of spices, palate of mixed red berries and smooth tannins. Nothing outrageously complex but good QPR and good tonight with grilled chicken breast marinated in honey mustard. I'd rather drink this than any supermarket $10 red.

Wow Tom, there is a wine from the past! Used to be readily available up here.
Anyhows I am in the CdR mood too so will open the `11 l`Ameillaud, have it standing up ready to go.
