2007 Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Blanc de Blancs Cuvee Heurtebise - France, Champagne (8/17/2014)Very precise, minerally and perhaps even a bit sharp. With food (lobster and butter) it did a fantastic job of cutting through the richness and cleaning everything up.
NV René Geoffroy Champagne Expression Brut Premier Cru - France, Champagne (8/17/2014)Solid Champagne. Not exceptional, but solid. Fresh fruit, a nice level of yeasty elements, and a pretty, saline finish. June 2012 disgorgement.
