I have signed up for a wine dinner with Markham and the event where all participating vintners offer some of their wine. Would like to include a Syrah tasting at The Angus Barn on Saturday but I am scheduled to teach a class that day (Saxum, Pax, Cayuse among those in the Syrah tasting). The Garretson dinner is already sold out as is the Rudd dinner. Others include Caymus, Switchback Ridge, Pride, etc. Seems to be a lot of emphasis on Napa Valley this year and Cabernet Sauvignon--not much choice of top Pinot Noir wineries. If you are interested the website is

This annual event benefits the Frankie Lemmon School for children with special needs. Most of the wineries participating are represented at the events by the owner and/or winemaker.
