Tried this Mon night upon Susan's return from hiking in Europe:
1.
Blindfold WW Calif (14.5%; 35% Chard/60% Viog/Rouss/Marsanne/GrenacheBlanc/5% Aromatics/Semillon/Riesling from good/well-known vnyds; www.ThePrisonerWine.com) 2012: Med.dark gold color; strong melony/Chard rather toasty/caramel/oak some aromatic/honeysuckle/honeyed/Rouss rather overripe bit alcoholic nose; soft/fat/lush/bit porky strong toasty/caramal/Fr.oak/butterscotchy mostly melony/Chard
some honeyed/Rouss/light floral/GrenacheBlanc slight spicy some hot/alcoholic flavor; med.long soft/fat/lush/porky quite toasty/caramel/Fr.oak/butterscotch mostly mostly melon/Chard light aromatic/GrenacheBlanc/floral/honeysuckle/Rouss bit fumey/alcoholic finish; doesn't hold a candle to a Jaffurs GrenacheBlanc or Tercero Rouss; a pleasant enough white but a bit boring and tiring to drink much of; dominated by toasty/caramel oak; way overpriced at $32.50 (SFW&S)

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. According to the WebSite: RobertParker: "reminiscent of the SQN whites from further South". Assuming that's to be considered a compliment, he's probably accurate on that count. After the first few glasses, I found the wine pretty tiring on the palate and would much prefer a Rombauer Carneros Chard probably and wanted something w/ some life to it...so went to the Bone-Jolly Rose, which saved the day.
