This may be a repeat note from the Sleepy Hollow Vineyard but thankfully this wine is evolving. Earlier samplings were fruit-simple but this bottle is starting to show some raw meat (steak) nose and flavors along with the usual sour cherry fruit. That raw meat note adds an attractive bar-b-que sauce note after an hour. I have most of a case left and will sample 1 or 2 a year hence forth. abv of 13.9%

Thanks for the note. I thought I remember reading that Joe Davis felt this would be an early drinking vintage and was planning to drink it before 2005.

Yes, I can see how that might seem silly, so I'll re-phrase it and say drink the 2007 before drinking the 2005 Sleepy Hollow.
