WTN: 09 Karthäuserhof GG

Man this is gorgeous. Ripe, full, firm yet fresh and minerally bracing with all the lovely verdant succulent Karthäuserhof flavors you could want. It also goes splendidly with a dinner of penne with chanterelles and parsley. I suppose more complexity is ahead, but I was not at all mad at myself for drinking this tonight.

On another note, has anyone tasted the 10 recently? I imagine that is a lot tougher to drink now?

Sounds great. I have not seen a Karthauserhof GG for less than $75 locally, so they have passed me by.

Wow, I never bought them in the States either but didn't realize they were that expensive. But this was 29euros/40USD in a Berlin wine shop, and at that price it is well worth the money IMO.
