Michael Malinoski did this wine more justice in a 2013 tasting note which you can retrieve by doing a search on this forum under Lucien Crochet. We agree that it is a lovely wine. I ordered a half bottle of the wine at Dune Restaurant on Nantucket and took some back to my inn. At the restaurant I had it with grilled chicken with falafel, Tzatziki sauce and cucumber salad with tomatoes and Feta cheese and a side of grilled asparagus. 13.5% abv. From Bue', France. The wine was viscous (nice uniform columns down the sides of the glass) and a pale gold color with transparency. I got bright citrus notes (grapefruit and lemon), tangy on the nose and palate. It was still fresh and young tasting. I found a bit of lemon drop and some pungency with acetyl notes. This is the higher end Lucien Crochet Sancerre. Very refreshing.
