Not Good News for Upstate NY Riesling

US Department of Agriculture has declared a “crop disasters” (due to sever Polar Vortex winter weather, 2013-2014) in 19 Upstate NY Counties.

Interesting. Niagara and Orleans counties are not on the list. They border Lake Ontario, which is so deep it never freezes.
