WTN: Mother's Day with Mom

Dinner at my parents' house. Always an excuse for some good wine.

1997 J. J. Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese
This has been riding along in early maturity for a couple of years, and tonight's bottle was no different. Still plenty of fruit, but also some smoky elements and waves of minerality. Delicious.

2011 Matthiasson White Wine (Napa)
A bracing blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Ribolla Gialla that shows juicy lemon fruit and great cut. I hate Sauvignon Blanc, but I love this for its fruit and cut. Also delicious.

2012 Ceritas Peter Martin Ray Vineyard Chardonnay (SCM)
Breed, class, precise fruit and a structure that is spot on. Drinks as if it is a California Grand Cru. For the third time, delicious.

This was a great trio of wines.

True Love enjoyed Yalumba Shiraz with her steak tips at a nice local restaurant.
