Donkey and Goat, Syrah, Anderson Valley, 'The Recluse', Broken Leg Vineyard, 2010
Cloudish purple-red color. Sharp floral aroma, that is really quite nice, but then you drink and get a glass that is shrill and sharp, full of strong acidity with absolutely no mid-palate. This seems to be picked early to fit a paradigm, rather than to make a wine that is pleasant to drink or enjoy. 12.6%, and feels it, but low alcohol is little relief here. B (mostly for the very pretty nose).
