I've loved the Chardonnay from Ceritas, especially from the Porter-Bass vineyard, and this is the first Pinot Noir that I tried.
It was a nice herbal nose with raspberries and minerals. It had red fruit, mouthwatering acidity and good length. In some respects, it reminded me of a Gamay from a ripe vintage. It's not going to make you feel the earth move, but I thought it was a pretty wine.
With the 2007 Ceritas Porter-Bass Chardonnay that I drank a couple of years ago, I did feel the earth move.
