At first there's a melange of putrid stink and sewage aromas lurking heavily in front of the pretty fruits one senses underneath the rubble. Mercifully, the smell lessons to a strong undercurrent of sweaty saddle and perhaps dainty things that haven't been washed yet, along with a salty ocean breeze carrying sweet plums. Drinking very well now. Sad that this is my last bottle. The salt and iodine here really cry out for some nice grilled food (meat, zucchini, mushrooms, etc.) An anachronistic 13% alcohol. How cool is that for a wine coming from the French-Spanish borderland? A-
