Imagery White Burgundy

by TomHill » Wed Apr 30, 2014 11:58 am

Moderately interesting article in the SacBee today by MikeDunne on the Imagery wines:
SacBee/ImageryWines

Since I'm interested in Lagrein, took a look-see at their WebSite. The one wine that caught my attention was the Imagery White Burgundy, where they describe it:
"Tropical fruit flavors invade the nose, and once the palate is breached, flavors of green apple, pear, orange and mango explode on the tongue."

Yup...sounds exactly like every LeMontrachet I've tried!! :-)

A blend of Chardonnay/PinotBlanc/PinotMeunier.

So you really like having your palate breached, huh?

I followed Imagery from the very start. My problem with Imagery, as a side venture for the Benziger family (creators of Glen Ellen), was I never knew if it was a "We make whatever the hell we feel like because we're not required to be fiscally responsible" or an "Odd Lots, Leftovers and Orphans" vision.

I love it. But then I'm a woman, so this is my lot in life.

Well, as long as it's legitimate breach. Otherwise nature has a way of shutting the whole thing down. (Sorry; I had to. Satan made me do it.)
