WTN: Infinite Improbability Wine (ESJ content)

by David M. Bueker » Tue Apr 29, 2014 8:19 pm

2013 Edmunds St. John Heart of Gold - USA, California, Sierra Foothills, El Dorado County (4/29/2014)
Composite note from over several nights: fresh, crisp quince and pear fruit with a distinct minerality. There's also a nut skin bitterness that really keeps the wine in focus. This is really drinkable in the one glass after another vein. Not at all heavy (just under 12% alcohol by the way), this is great for sipping and right up the alley for spring (if it ever warms up) and summer meals where freshness is key.

What is the varietal composition? I'm guessing a Rhone white blend.

And in this corner...weighing in at a whopping 11.9%......is SteveEdmunds.

Had this a few weeks ago. A really pretty/lovely wine that keeps you going back for anuther glass.

Thought I remembered I had a couple coming from CSW, but it's 2012 (which I like, so no disappointment)

Dale; the '12 is really nice. The '13 is banned in Boston!
