Crianza, Rioja, Spain. (Tempranillo blend) 13% abv. Darkly colored and opaque with thinning at the rim. I find scents of cherries, red currants and pleasant and mild herbal notes. The palate reflected sour cherries when first poured. This mellowed and rounded out a bit by the second evening. I foud it more pleasurable with or without food on the second evening. I sipped one glass before dinner and a second glass with broiled lamb with mint sauce and scalloped potatoes. Light to medium body. I suggest a decant if opened this year.

Sounds good. What is the price these days?

I paid $24.95 but I ordered it about 18 months ago from Woodland Hills Wine Company. I believe I have one more bottle.

I've always enjoyed this wine but found that the price drove me to just buy the Reserva for a few dollars more.
