Abrente Albarino StewartRanch/Carneros/NapaVlly (13.0%) MichaelHavens/Morgan Twain-Peterson 2013: Med.light gold color; classic Albarino/stony/mineral very light flaral/mango nose; rather tart steely/tangy/grapefruity/mango bit steely/metallic/tangy flavor; med.long tangy/steely/mango/metallic finish; probably needs 4-6 months to show more. $23.00

BedrockWineCo SauvBlanc SonomaCnty (14.1%) 2013: Med.gold color; rather low-key/delicate fairly melony/stony light herbal/spicy rather closed/tight nose; lightly tart melony/stony/herbal some rich/lush/full/spicy flavor; med.long tart melony/lemony/tangy/stony rather rich/lush lightly herbal/SB finish; needs more time to fully evolve. $23.00

Novy Syrah SierraMarVnyd/SantaLuciaHighlands (14.5%) 2011: Very dark color; strong ripe/boysenberry/blackberry/Syrah light pencilly/oak slight herbal/rosemary/spicy slight peppery very attractive nose; rather tart/tangy/grapefruity strong ripe/boysenberry/blackberry/Syrah/licorice/root beer light pencilly/oak flavor w/ some angular/bitey tannins; long rather tart/tangy strong/ripe/boysenberry/blackberry/Syrah light peppery/herbal/rosemary/grapefruity finish w/ some bitey tannins; not as rich/lush as most Novy Syrahs and a rather hard/angular texture on the palate buut a delicious red.

A wee BP:
1. The two Bedrock whites were not quite as perfumed/aromatic as I expected and seemed a bit closed/tight and will probably show a lot better w/ 4-6 months of age on them. Good/solid wines but don't yet have the "wow" factor they probably will have down the road.
