WTN: A Roseneck by any other name

Could never be this good!

2012 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Rheingau (4/12/2014)
The Roseneck Spätlese is quickly becoming my favorite Riesling in all of Germany. This 2012 is bright, fresh, balanced, mouthfilling, long and finely detailed. Despite the obvious scale of the wine it retains an elegance that exceeds any prior edition of this bottling. This is amazing Riesling.

Good wine. Much richer in feel than the '12 due to vintage conditions.

I opened this 2012 Roseneck sometime in the last few months but didn't get it posted. Imported by Michael Skurnik Wines. Pale, with transparency. Some petrol on the nose; also white flowers and perhaps pear notes but not too scent-specific on the fruit aromas. the wine tastes off-dry but still balanced and inviting. I think I will go back for two more bottles.

I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...
